Based on the current requirements of the student body, I will focus my lecture mainly on working with photography and technical images. I will talk about finding themes and try to proceed non-chronologically and focus more on finding meaning and sources of inspiration, answering questions through creation and the meaning of artistic practice for my life. At the same time, as a FAMU teacher, I will mainly talk about my mistakes because learning from the mistakes of my teachers is a necessary part of teaching.
Štěpánka Šimlová graduated from the AVU in Prague. SHe belongs to the generation of the 90s, works with a variety of media, from classical painting, through installation, work with video, experiments with non-traditional materials. Currently, she is returning to painting as the most direct and intimate expression.
