Zuzana Lazarová is a photographer and poet. She studied art theory and history at Masaryk University and photography at FAMU. Since 2019, she has been teaching theDocumentary Photography course,focusing on theatre photography,at the Department of Photography of FAMU. She has been collaborating with the theatre ensemble JEDL and with the Surrealist Groupon a long-term basis. Zuzana Lazarová’s poems have been published in the magazines A2, Tvar, and in the surrealist review Analogon. She has been featured in the anthology The Best Czech Poems 2013 and 2019 (HOST) and the anthology The Principle of Imagination (ANALOGON Association 2016). She prepared animated scenes for Jan Švankmajer’s film Surviving Life (2010). Her poetry collection Iron Shirt (Fra, 2015) was nominated for the Jiří Orten Award and translated into German (Kētos, 2018).
